Book suggestions: bioethics, assurance of salvation, purity, Jerry Bridges

Justin Taylor notes that D. A. The Hidden Life of Prayer: e-book bargain and free audio!

A year or so ago, I was alerted about a new/old book called  The Hidden Life of Prayer.  John Piper strongly endorsed it and it was relatively inexpensive. All of our pastors and deacons read it and interacted with it.  It was a helpful little volume on prayer.

Tim Challies is leading an online discussion of it over the next few weeks.  Most of you will probably not participate in that but there are some really good deals regarding this book that you might want to check out including a very inexpensive Kindle edition of this classic and a free audiobook just released.

Down in the depths of the deep blue sea

God’s creation is so diverse. We watched this video yesterday about life in the sea we rarely think about.

Some of these creatures in the sea are actually longer than a blue whale.  And yet some are so small that one teaspoon of seawater can contain up to a million organisms.

Learn about plankton today and remember that they are just another evidence of God’s hand in all creation!
