Just for fun: Fireworks malfunction in San Diego

Denny Burk:

Last night, there was a mishap at San Diego’s 4th of July fireworks show. Through some really bad malfunction, all the explosions went off at once. What was supposed to be an 18 minute firework show set to music was reduced to 15 seconds of pyrotechnic pandemonium. In the video above, you can hear when spectators begin to realize what happened, and a little kid says “Aww!” Classic.

I feel sorry for the folks who carted their families out for a show that lasted a mere 15 seconds. The upside is that the spectacle—brief as it was—looked something like the death star exploding at the end of Star Wars.

Top ten church bulletin bloopers

Laughter is good medicine. This post is just for fun!  Thom Rainer shares his top ten church bulletin bloopers of all time:

10.  At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be “What is Hell?” Come early and listen to our choir practice.

9.  The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday morning.

8.  The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, “Break Forth Into Joy.”

7.  Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

5.  Charlene Mason sang “I Will Not Pass This Way Again,” giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.
